La cantante sperimentale Grimes (al secolo Claire Boucher, originaria di Montreal) a fine 2010 realizza "Halfaxa", seguito del debutto "Geidi Primes". Un brano, "Intor/Flowers" (il dream-pop dei Cocteau Twins misto ai salmi di Enya e alle invocazioni di Kate Bush) fa da matrice e ripete l'idea una dozzina di volte, esplorando gli spettri vocali in lungo e in largo e lasciando le basi a un larvale stato di sottofondo amatoriale. Le intro sono le cose un minimo sperimentali, per il resto la derivazione e l'imitazione (la migliore in questo senso è "World Princess") rasentano l'insopportabilità. Vintage per il gusto di esserlo.
