Questo dovrebbe essere l’ultimo album degli Ash, o almeno così hanno dichiarato i ragazzi di Belfast, che non si scioglieranno e rilasceranno solo singoli.
L’album è pop-punk-rock mainstream. Nello specifico, si sentono Strokes e Libertines (“I Started A Fire”, che è anche un discreto pezzo), i Blink 182 (orrore! in “Blacklisted”), il post-grunge melodico con una ballata alla Staind (“Polaris”), il pop acustico di Avril Levigne (“End of the World”). Poi saremmo solo a metà album, ma qui mi fermo. Mi arrendo.
Insomma, una band a fine carriera, ma una band che anche al massimo della propria creatività non è mai andata oltre la sufficienza.
