The Strokes keep the anticipation building for their new album “Reality Awaits” with the surprise release of a second single. After “Going Shopping”, out in early April, the New York band has now shared “Falling Out Of Love”, a sprawling six-minute-plus ballad in which Julian Casablancas moves between singing and spoken word, adopting a more intimate, drawn-out mood than the first single.
“Reality Awaits” arrives on June 26 and marks the band's return to recorded music six years after “The New Abnormal”. The sessions took place in Costa Rica with producer Rick Rubin, before the finishing touches were completed across several studios around the world.
After the summer, The Strokes will also return to the stage with a new international tour kicking off in October. Among the announced dates is an Italian show on October 17 at the Unipol Arena in Bologna.
