Chvrches return with "Roses": their first new track in three years

23-09-2026

Chvrches return with "Roses," the first new track they've recorded together after a three-year break, and the first official release on their new label, Futures.

The three years that have passed gave Chvrches time to explore new paths, such as singer Lauren Mayberry's solo debut. Mayberry's studio reunion with Iain Cook and Martin Doherty was born out of a clear intention: to avoid repeating expressive patterns used in the past.

"It was the longest break Chvrches have ever taken between albums," explained Lauren Mayberry. "When we came back to write new music we really wanted to push ourselves and not retread old ground. I think we managed it. It feels like the most cohesive vision Chvrches have ever had as a band."

While Chvrches have yet to reveal details about a forthcoming new album, the Scottish trio has announced two special charity shows at intimate venues that remain under wraps for now: October 26 in Glasgow and October 29 in London.
