Raccoon Music Award Final: June 12 at Monk. In collaboration with OndaRock

The second edition of the Raccoon Music Award, the contest run in collaboration with OndaRock and created to discover new talent from Rome's under-30 emerging scene, finally arrives at Monk for its long-awaited final!

For the occasion, the event will take the form of a full-blown festival: starting at 6:30 pm, the Monk courtyard will come alive with a variety of stands, from handmade jewelry and make-up artists to vintage clothing, vinyl records and a listening desk. What's more, to properly welcome the buzz of Rome's underground scene before the competition kicks off, the garden will host an open mic set.

It will be an evening full of surprises. At 9 pm, the doors of Monk's main theatre will open to officially kick off the contest, preceded by two special opening acts: Flowhertz, a band with an infectious funk-pop sound, and Ventidue, whose energetic pop sound won last edition's Raccoon Music Award.

The competing singers will go head to head on the main stage, each performing two songs. They'll be judged by a panel of industry experts made up of representatives from OndaRock, Radio Rock and record label Alpha Music. The final verdict, however, will be the result of total synergy: the audience's vote in the room will also be decisive, weighted alongside the judges' technical scores. There will also be moments of interaction between sets, with quizzes and musical games offering prizes for those in attendance.

• Hibiscus: Sicilian roots and an enveloping mix of R&B and Hip Hop.
• Beabi: Elegant Pop-R&B with an international outlook.
• Wild Mint: Experimental rock tinged with fascinating Shoegaze and Trip-hop shades.
• Mind Your Step: Contemporary, high-impact Urban Pop.
• CorpoCeleste: A contemporary pop project exploring themes of love and generational identity.
• Make it One: Demented rock with surreal lyrics, capable of unleashing acidic, distorted energy.

Tickets to attend the final at Monk's main theatre are already available. To secure your spot and avoid queues at the entrance, we recommend buying them in advance at Ticket Link: the first batch of tickets is on offer at €10 while stocks last, after which the price rises to the second tier of €12. If you decide to buy them directly at the box office on the night of the event, the price will instead be €15.
