Dirty Three, return to the Italian live scene for a single date

15-05-2026

Dirty Three announce their return to the Italian live scene with a single show set for next autumn. The Australian outfit will take the stage at the Teatro Comunale Città di Vicenza on Tuesday 27 October at 9pm in the Sala Maggiore, more than ten years after their last Italian appearance, back in 2012.
The European tour follows the release of “Love Changes Everything”, the album that marked the trio's return to recording after twelve years of silence. Having wrapped up their North American tour, the band now brings to the Old Continent their instrumental repertoire built on improvisation, cinematic crescendos and intense emotional power.

On stage will be Warren Ellis, Mick Turner and Jim White, longtime architects of a sound that weaves together post-rock, experimental folk and narrative tension.
The Vicenza date will also open AMP Festival, a new event hosted by the Teatro Comunale and dedicated to the most wide-ranging expressions of contemporary rock. The project, whose name stands for “Altri Mondi Possibili” (“Other Possible Worlds”), aims to bring together live music, cultural outreach and multidisciplinary artistic practices, moving beyond the classic festival format.
Alongside his work with Dirty Three, Warren Ellis continues his soundtrack collaborations with Nick Cave. The duo's latest project is the soundtrack for “The Death Of Bunny Munro”, the television adaptation of Cave's novel of the same name.
