The chart of the 25 best indie rock albums of 1990, according to Radio X magazine

An important year for indie rock, packed with landmark albums that laid the groundwork for the music of the entire Nineties. Many of the records released in 1990 left their mark, just as the golden age of britpop was dawning, along with alternative rock and grunge. The webzine Radio X has compiled 25 of them into this list. Many of these records are absolute classics, and several are milestones for us too. Of course, it's a highly subjective and inevitably debatable selection, to be taken - as always - simply as a starting point for digging deeper into the musical landscape of a given year.
