Twenty-five years after its release, Warp Records has announced the reissue of "Drukqs", one of the most celebrated and debated albums by Aphex Twin. The reissue, out on October 30, 2026, will be available on vinyl, CD and cassette, and completes the project to reissue Richard D. James's core discography: with the return of "Drukqs", all of his essential albums will once again be available on Lp.
Originally released in October 2001, "Drukqs" stands as one of the British artist's most ambitious works. The double album alternates intricate Idm and experimental electronic music constructions with delicate prepared piano pieces, resulting in a work that has become a touchstone of his output over the years. Among its most celebrated tracks are "Avril 14th", now regarded as one of Aphex Twin's signature pieces, and "QKThr", which has recently returned to the spotlight thanks to its widespread use in YouTube Shorts.
The new edition will be released in four versions: a double CD with booklet, a double cassette box set, a quadruple Lp with gatefold sleeve, and an exclusive Warp Store edition packaged in a box with a fold-out poster and an AFX logo stencil. Pre-orders are already open on the label's official website.
This reissue completes the recovery of Aphex Twin's catalogue that began with the recent reissues of "Selected Ambient Works II" and "Surfing On Sine Waves (Expanded Edition)", making the musician's entire essential discography available on vinyl once again.
