The most interesting new releases: from Travis to Thom Yorke, from Alan Vega to Hinds

Travis  – “Raze The Bar”

Fran Healy's Travis have released a new single with Chris Martin of Coldplay and Brandon Flowers of Killers. The track tells a bittersweet story about the closing of the Black and White bar, a New York haunt much loved by the band, imagining one last night there before it shut its doors.

Thom Yorke – “Four Ways In Time”

Thom Yorke has released a new video taken from the soundtrack to the film “Confidenza“, now available digitally and coming out on vinyl and CD on July 12th. The clip, starring Elio Germano, features footage from scenes in Daniele Luchetti's film, reworked by editor Ael Dallier Vega.

Hinds – “Boom Boom Back” Ft. Beck

Four years on from their last album “The Prettiest Curse”, Hinds have announced their new record “Viva Hinds” for September 6th, recorded in France and the first without bassist Ade Martín and drummer Amber Grimbergen, who left the band two years ago. Listen below to the new single featuring Beck, titled “Boom Boom Back”:

Alan Vega – “Cyanide Soul”

Out on May 31st is "Insurrection", an album recorded by Alan Vega (Suicide) back in the late 90s but never released until now. Previewing the album is the new single "Cyanide Soul", which Vega's widow, Liz Lamere, described as follows: "This song is very important to me. I clearly remember recording some of the keyboard lines, and above all I remember what it felt like hearing it with this whispered, somewhat tormented voice. Alan always recorded the vocal in one take after finishing the music, and this voice hypnotized me."
