Primal Scream – “Love Insurrection”
The new album by Primal Scream “Come Ahead” will be released by Bmg on 8 November, and will be the Scottish band's twelfth studio album, the first since “Chaosmosis” in 2016. Speaking about the record, frontman Bobbie Gillespie said: “I'm really excited about this album, the way you would be about making your first record. If there's an overarching theme to Come Ahead it's conflict, both inner and outer. There's also a thread of compassion running through the album. The title is a Glaswegian term. If someone's threatening to fight you, you say: ‘Come ahead!’. It's a phrase that captures that indomitable Glaswegian spirit, and the album itself shares that same aggressive, self-assured attitude. Up there they've got a word for it – ‘Come Ahead’ is also a pretty cheeky title”.
