"He's been writing since childhood, out of self-defense (and as an exercise in style). The shopping lists his mom used to dictate to him. The teenage poems. And the bohemian ones written in the attic apartment on Piazza Vittorio, Turin.
He fills Moleskines in the years when everyone's on Facebook (he, stubbornly, stays away). And he moves on to the web - and to blogs - when the blogosphere has long since been declared clinically dead.
He secretly loved "Amélie". But his cinematic epiphany comes when he sees Tarkovsky's "Stalker" for the first time (and he quietly seethes every time someone pronounces it the English way).
He'd bring to a desert island (where, famously, there's no electricity) the DVD of "2001". And Montesquieu's "Persian Letters". And a notebook, of course.

Besides OndaCinema, I also write here and here, and I'm co-author of the essay "Screens of the 20th Century. The History of the 20th Century Seen Through Cinema", edited by Giampiero Frasca, published by Lindau.
