Sigfrido Menghini

Former Contributor

Born in the Austrian Alps in the mid-60s, he grew up and still lives in Milan. Struck by rock music at 15, he grew up alternating transverse flute practice with Sunday afternoons at the stadium following Internazionale. Like all teenagers, he experienced moments of intense joy (two relegations for Bilan) and moments of pain (a decade spent listening to dark music). Lazy by nature, in the mid-80s he gave up wind instruments, especially the tenor sax, because it was too cumbersome to carry on the bus, and switched to electric bass. He played for two decades in various bands, moving from progressive to new wave, from psychedelia to indie. He's happily married. He usually doesn't bet on the lottery numbers he keeps giving away.
