Born on February 13, 1983 among the winding hills of the Marche region (in Sant'Elpidio a Mare, to be precise, in the new and little-known province of Fermo), I split my life between three great passions: basketball, journalism and music. After an utterly useless degree, graduated with top marks, in Multimedia Communications from the University of Macerata, I ended up earning some pocket money as a staff writer for the local online newspaper Infofermo, supplementing my income thanks to my modest basketball skills in the lower leagues of the Marche region. But my real ambition lies elsewhere: becoming a music critic/journalist. That's why since 2008 I've been contributing to the webzine Kathodik, and since late 2010 to OndaRock. Musically, my background starts with teenage turbulence in punk and hard-rock territory, but hits a turning point with my first listen to "Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain" by Pavement. From that moment on (it must have been around 2003), I developed a compulsive, irrepressible urge to discover new music, of every genre, from every corner of the world. The pile of CDs in my room (the cold immateriality of mp3s holds little appeal for me - I remain a devoted fan of physical formats, whatever they may be, as artistic testimony that goes beyond the music itself) grows in step with my receding hairline, forcing me into frequent trips to the nearest Ikea in search of new storage solutions. But this deep-seated obsession never fades. If anything, it grows a little more every day.
