Born in Carbonia in 1983, the extreme periphery of the Empire. 1997 is the real turning point of his life: in the middle of his final year of lower secondary school and right in his prog phase, his older brother, who had weaned him on beatings and chrome cassettes, gave him Angel and Daemons at Play by Motorpsycho and Goodbye and Hello by Tim Buckley. From that moment on, nothing would ever be the same.He starts writing about music "on paper" at nineteen, when together with a handful of penniless peones he launches the editorial team of "Il Cavo". He writes six reviews, and after two issue-zeroes the magazine folds. Clear warning signs, which our man rightly ignores, and galvanized by the prospect of getting rich he decides to turn this passion of his into a profession. He enrolls at the DAMS in Bologna, where he gets the chance to study with legends such as Giampiero Cane and Piero Pieri, and graduates in Musicology and Music Management with a thesis in Entertainment Economics titled "Organizing Music Events in Sardinia: The Example of Sant'Anna Arresi Jazz". From 2006 he works at the "Ai Confini Tra Sardegna e Jazz" Festival, where he serves as technical manager and where he has his first encounters with the Chicago free-jazz avant-garde, the radicalism of the New York school, and the brutality of the Northern European school. Meanwhile he keeps writing around the web: Dedication, Miusika, The Breakfast Jumpers, Osservatori Esterni, Toylet Magazine, until he finally settles in 2009 at Mumble, where he handles the music column. From 2012 to 2016 he writes for SENTIREASCOLTARE, and from 2014 he collaborates with Rockerilla, where he handles reviews and in-depth features. Since 2017 he has also been writing for Humans Vs Robots. He adores Black Sabbath as much as Motown, goes wild for Todd Rundgren, and gets moved by Big Star.
