Born in Piacenza on 18.11.1962, he works as an Apple Computer IT consultant. Since the late '70s he has written about music, contributing to various specialist publications. He currently writes for Rockerilla. He is involved in music, contemporary art and visual communication. His hobbies include Indian cooking, playing bass in a progressive band, wine, literature, collecting records and musical instruments, and cinema. Musically he favors the avant-garde - or rather, new music in every field and every form of communicative experience, from contemporary classical to folk, rock and jazz. Among his heroes are the Beatles, Frank Zappa, King Crimson, György Ligeti, Gunther Hampel, John Coltrane, Diamanda Galas, Stockhausen, Syd Barrett and Robert Wyatt. He firmly believes that progressive is an attitude towards music, not a genre. For years he has waged a pointless battle for aesthetic relevance, achievable only through a change of language - that is, little compassion for lack of originality. Minor artists are minor. With very few exceptions. He maintains that today, unlike in the past, the greats are hindered by the music industry. His greatest satisfaction? Discovering new talent.
