Alberto Asquini

I was born in Pordenone on April 25, 1988. I live in the lower Friuli area [Romans di Varmo], but before that I was based in Bologna, then London, and now Rome. I graduated from the "Jacopo Stellini" classical high school in Udine. In 2007 I moved to Bologna, where I studied Sociology, then to Rome, where I'm currently studying Multimedia Publishing. My dream is to become a journalist. In 2005 I contributed sporadically to Indie-Zone.it, before joining OndaRock.it as a regular contributor starting in March 2006, where I split my time between monographs, interviews, reviews and live reports. Since November 2009 I've been a regular contributor to the monthly magazine Rockerilla. I'm head of the press office for OndaRock, and I'm now also a blogger for 'Il Fatto Quotidiano', as well as a jobbing writer for Zero, RebelRebel and Vice. My first encounter with music: the video for Radiohead's 'There There', aired on MTV in the summer of 2003. From then on it was a rapid succession of loves: Air, Sigur Ros, Notwist, Daft Punk, Royksopp. Over time I devoted myself to ambient, to electronic music in its broadest sense, to drone and to post-rock. I hope to keep broadening my horizons even further.
