Psychology student at UNIBO, radio host, hopeless romantic, passionate about basketball and cultural shifts, but above all else: a music obsessive. Since 1985 he has disturbed and pestered every living being with socially degrading results, until as a teenager, in an attempt to climb back up from rock-bottom self-esteem, he tried his hand as a guitarist, bassist and noise-maker, before discovering the magical world of Four Tet and hip-hop. The sobriety gained through serious, pragmatic listening gave way to the chaotic true nature that has always governed him, and since 2003 it's been a nonstop chase after every kind of beat. Public Enemy, Aphex Twin and Underworld are the reference points behind the turning point that would mark his listening life forever, until, upon discovering OndaRock, he could finally start boring an even greater number of people beyond his despairing friends. Starting out as a DJ was an inevitable step he didn't shy away from, earning encouraging results for a future worldwide domination. As for the future, unable to explain what Web 2.0 even is, he hopes social networks will implode and people will go back to getting to know each other in the real world.
Four Tet, Louie Vega, Todd Terry, Moritz Von Oswald, Crookers. A few days in, and people are already sweating it out on the decks as summer season powers ahead
For the third installment of OndaQuadra, we're already starting to draw conclusions about the spring/summer season: what awaits us?
We remember the genius from Missoula, who passed away at 78, through his music: from the soundtracks of his films to his muse-singers, from his partnership with Badalamenti to his solo albums
First installment dedicated to the world of the 12" EP, which remains the primary medium for spreading dance music.
