Giuseppe D'Amato

Born in Rome in 1978, I developed a love of music as a child thanks to Prince, Madonna and the piano, and then during my teenage years came a passion for dark, new wave, electronic music and the Eighties, an era many claim I still haven't left. I came across OndaRock by chance one day in Dublin, browsing the web in search of recommendations on a Virgin Prunes record; I later started contributing, writing monographs and reviews here and there. Foreign languages and literature, pool, stamps, cooking, forró, photography, Robert De Niro and Massimo Troisi enrich my life, in no particular order, whether out of leisure, study or work. I always go back to the same places for matters of the heart, Scandinavia if possible, or otherwise Crotone and Sicily, my parents' homeland. My hero is Dave Gahan, favourite colours black and blue.
