England's Yungblud, the stage name of Dominic Richard Harrison (b. 1997), has made his way since 2017 thanks to a style that blends rock, pop, punk and hip-hop, framed by an emo and goth aesthetic and a clear leaning toward the alternative niche within the mainstream. His music is tied to themes of strong social and generational impact, at the heart of public debate between the late 2010s and early 2020s: mental health, identity, youth distress, substance abuse, self-harm and self-destruction. Over time his style has shifted toward a more classic rock sound, paying tribute to his musical idols, as can be heard on "Idols" (2025).
