Matteo Privitera, his real name, also hails from Cinisello Balsamo, like Sfera Ebbasta. He has a fast flow and has sharpened his technique over time, making a name for himself on YouTube as early as 2015 and then building his audience up to his debut album "Bellaria" (2018), a platinum record driven by the single "Malibu" (triple platinum). His melodic trap, backed by a solid command of rhyme, could easily have taken over the mainstream in recent years, but perhaps partly because of his rivalry with Sfera Ebbasta, his star faded quickly. More technical and less melodic than his rival, Vegas Jones caught the golden age of Italian trap right on time but couldn't stay in the saddle. He returns, four years after the disappointing "La bella musica" (2019), with the mixtape "Jones" (2023), which seems to hint at a new beginning, a second debut.
