Tricot

A Tokyo math-rock quartet fronted by the personality of Ikkyu Nakajima, the band debuted in 2011 with the EP “Bakuretsu Tricot San”, showing right away a deep technical command and a surprising ability to shift their center of gravity toward the most disparate territories, from prog to pop, passing through hardcore and power-pop as well. Buoyed also by a brilliant live dimension, through which they've showcased their polished playing chemistry and the sheer power of their sound, Tricot have become famous among fans around the world too, helping spread Japanese-made indie-rock to the West as well.
