Born in Braintree, Essex, the youngest of five siblings, Tirzah Mastin attended the Purcell School For Young Musicians alongside her friend Mica Levi, before debuting in 2013 with the EP “I’m Not Dancing”, which included the title track that quickly won over London’s alt-dance scene. After moving to South London, Tirzah released her second EP, “No Romance”, in 2014, followed a year later by the single “Make It Up”.
It wasn't until 2018, with her debut album “Devotion”, that the English singer-songwriter began to build a solid following beyond Britain's borders. Her next two records (“Colourgrade” in 2021 and “trip9love…???” in 2023) further raised her profile, placing her at the heart of the European avant-pop scene.
Tirzah currently lives in Sidcup (South East London) and has two children (born in 2018 and 2020) with musician Giles Kwakeulati King-Ashong, better known by his stage name Kwake Bass. Well embedded in London's thriving music scene of recent years, Tirzah has collaborated with a wide range of artists: notable featured appearances include work with Tricky, Micachu, Baauer, Mura Masa, Lafawndah, and Speakers Corner Quartet.
