Slayyyter

Born in 1996, Catherine Slater, better known as Slayyyter, wants to upend the image of the American pop singer by injecting violence and explicit sex into the joyful, polished world of Taylor Swift and early Britney Spears. After her self-titled 2019 mixtape debut, "Troubled Paradise" (2021) drops all inhibitions for an official debut that's at times downright brazen, straddling hyperpop and electropop. Her second album, "Starfucker" (2023), tones down the unpredictability of the mix to stage a lascivious party.

With the follow-up "Wor$t Girl In America" (2026), sleazier and bolder than ever, the electro "bad girl" delivers her most focused project yet.
