Simon Joyner

Songwriter from Omaha, Nebraska, he made his debut in the Nineties with lo-fi folk songcraft and writing that's always razor-sharp, recalling Bill Callahan and Will Oldham, becoming one of the major influences on the scene that later developed around Bright Eyes. In 1994, the famous English DJ John Peel played his album “Cowardly Traveller Pays His Toll” in full on air, something that had previously happened only with Bob Dylan's “Desire”, by Bob Dylan.
