Sielun Veljet

Founded in 1982 after the breakup of Hassisen Kone, Sielun Veljet represented the most visceral and radical side of Ismo Alanko's creativity. The band almost entirely abandoned the traditional song form to build a language rooted in tribalism, improvisation, psychedelia and post-punk, turning their concerts into genuine collective rituals. Over the course of the Eighties the group gradually evolved towards a more melodic and accessible rock sound, without losing its expressive intensity, achieving commercial success with albums such as “L’amourha”. Regarded as one of the most influential bands in Finnish rock, Sielun Veljet left behind a lasting legacy thanks to their ability to combine experimentation, primal energy and poetic depth.
