Shashwat Sachdev

Indian composer, producer and sound designer, born in Jaipur in 1987. He began studying Hindustani classical music at the age of three, later combining it with Western classical piano. In 2011 he moved to Los Angeles, where he honed his skills in sound design, music production and film composition, before returning to India in 2016.

He made his Hindi film debut with “Phillauri” (2017), followed by work on “Veere Di Wedding” and the series “Selection Day”. His collaboration with Aditya Dhar on “Uri: The Surgical Strike” (2019) marked his breakthrough: for the film's score he won the National Film Award for best background score and an IIFA Award. In the following years he worked on “Attack”, “Article 370”, “Kill”, “Ulajh” and “Kesari Chapter 2”, cementing a style defined by the meeting of Indian music, electronics, hip-hop and film production.

In 2025 he reunited with Aditya Dhar for “Dhurandhar”, followed in 2026 by “Dhurandhar: The Revenge”. Alongside this, he has released music for the international and production-library market, including the album “Euphoria (And the Following Realities)” (2021).
