Rare DM

In the liminal space between the martial discipline of a Michigan marching band and the raw geometries of New York's underground fashion scene, Erin Hoagg conjured up her alter ego: Rare DM.
Raised behind a drum kit, she soon understood that rhythm precedes language.
When she left the fashion runways behind to embrace synthesizers, she discovered that silence, when listened to, speaks in frequencies.

Her music is darkwave forged on the fragility of digital communication: a body trembling between electroclash pulses and techno minimalism, exploring the anxiety, ecstasy and vulnerability of souls desperately seeking contact beyond the screen.
This obsessive physicality reaches its peak in May 2026 with “Attention”, her latest and most urgent sonic work.

She has shared the stage with artists such as Molchat Doma, Mareux and Xeno & Oaklander, touring across North America, Europe and Mexico, and playing festivals such as SXSW, Coldwaves and Grauzone.
