One Direction

One Direction were an Anglo-Irish boy band, formed by Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik.

They released five albums: “Up All Night”, “Take Me Home”, “Midnight Memories”, “Four” and “Made in the A.M.” (respectively in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015); the albums reached the top ten of the major music charts, along with fifteen singles.

Zayn Malik was also originally part of the boy band, before officially leaving the group on 25 March 2015 to pursue a solo singing career.

Altogether, One Direction have sold over 50 million records, between albums and singles.

In 2024 Liam Payne was found dead in Buenos Aires, after falling from the third floor of a hotel. He was 31 years old.
