Behind Of Montreal lies the talented and prolific Kevin Barnes. Formed in 1996 in Athens, Georgia, and members of the Elephant 6 collective, the project takes its name from a relationship with no happy ending with a girl "from Montreal". Between psych-pop and more folk- and pop-leaning moments, Barnes has woven a dense discography that includes several great works. The latest release, from 2022, is "Freewave Lucifero Fck"
