Max Richter is a German composer known for his post-minimalist and modern classical compositions. He's also known for his composing work for a variety of films and TV shows, including “Black Mirror”.
Born in Hameln (Germany), he grew up in London. He studied composition and piano at the University of Edinburgh, the Royal Academy of Music, and under Luciano Berio in Florence. He founded the ensemble Piano Circus. In 2003, he began composing for feature films and TV shows.
He has recorded eight solo albums, totaling a billion streams and a million copies sold.
