Max Pezzali

Massimo Pezzali, known simply as Max Pezzali, was born on November 14, 1967 in Pavia. A singer-songwriter and musician, he began his career as the frontman of 883, the group he formed with his friend Mauro Repetto, becoming one of the symbols of Italian pop music in the 1990s. After the official split of the 883 project, he launched a solo career that would consolidate his success.

After the release of 883's final album, "Uno in più" (2001), Max Pezzali decided to continue his musical career recording under his own name. His first solo album, "Il mondo insieme a te" (2004), represented a stylistic continuation of the path begun with 883, marked by personal lyrics, simple stories drawn from Italian provincial life, and catchy melodies. The album contains hits such as "Lo strano percorso", "Il mondo insieme a te" and "Me la caverò", which cemented his popularity.

In 2007 Max Pezzali released "Time Out", an album that marked a new phase of artistic maturity. Among its biggest hits are "Torno subito", "Sei fantastica" and "Eccoti", the latter becoming one of the ballads most beloved by his fans. The album was a great success with both audiences and critics, showing Pezzali's ability to reinvent himself without losing his musical identity.

With "Terraferma" (2011), he explores more introspective themes, sensitively recounting the changes of adult life. Tracks like "Credi", "Il mio secondo tempo" and the title track "Terraferma" highlight a more complete, reflective kind of songwriting, confirming his ability to speak to different generations.

In 2013 Max celebrated twenty years of his career with the album "Max 20", which includes duets with Italian artists such as Claudio Baglioni, Giuliano Sangiorgi and Jovanotti, reinterpreting the great hits of 883 alongside some new songs, including "L'universo tranne noi", which became a new hit.

With "Astronave Max" (2015), Pezzali embraces more modern sounds, blending pop with electronic arrangements. Standout singles include "E buona fortuna", "Sopravviverai" and "Niente di grave".

In 2020 Max Pezzali released the album "Qualcosa di nuovo", a work that reflects on nostalgia and the new challenges of life. Tracks like the title track, "In questa città" and "7080902000" celebrate the past without losing sight of the present, strengthening the bond with his devoted fanbase.

Max Pezzali is also known for his successful tours, including "Max 20 Live" (2013-2014), the concert series with Nek and Renga from which the live album "Max Nek Renga" (2018) was drawn, and the more recent "San Siro Canta Max" (2022), which sold out. Pezzali's concerts are collective celebrations, able to bring together different generations through the songs that have shaped the recent history of Italian pop music.

Max Pezzali stands out for a direct, accessible style, able to depict everyday life and emotions with simplicity and sincerity. His lyrics, often autobiographical, manage to describe personal experiences in a universal way, with an immediate, instantly recognizable style.
