Laura Agnusdei is a saxophonist and electronic musician from Bologna, active as a duo with sound designer Daniele Fabris, and was a member of the psych-rock band Julie's Haircut for five years. As a solo artist she explores a hybrid territory where electroacoustic composition, timbral research, free improv, jazz legacies and much more all converge. A kaleidoscopic substrate fed by a constant investigation into the saxophone's potential as an unconventional musical weapon.
After a brief first work – “Night/Lights” (2017, The Tapeworm) – she made her debut on the same English label in 2019 with “Laurisilva”, a successful compendium of evolving organic sounds drawing on imaginary subtropical landscapes. “Goro”, a 2023 EP, saw her move to the Italian-Canadian label Maple Death, which in 2025 released her second album “Flowers Are Blooming In Antarctica”: picking up on the suggestions of her debut, it widens its scope, incorporating sounds drawn from a vast sample library structured into dizzying sonic architectures.
