Jessica Lois Ware, born October 15, 1984 in Hammersmith, London (United Kingdom), is an English singer, songwriter and presenter. She found considerable popularity following the release of her debut studio album, “Devotion” (2012), which reached number five on the UK albums chart, propelled by the single “Wildest Moments”, and was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize thanks to the refinement of its pop-soul sound.
Her second studio album, “Tough Love” (2014), marked by a sinuous sophisti-pop attitude, climbed to number nine in the UK with hits like “Tough Love” and “Say You Love Me”. Three years later came “Glasshouse” (2017), which reached number seven in the UK, veering toward soul and rhythm'n'blues tones.
Her fourth studio album, “What's Your Pleasure?” (2020), marked a shift toward polished dance sounds, earning glowing reviews and claiming third place on the UK Chart, with hits like “Spotlight”, “Save A Kiss” and “Remember Where You Are”.
Ware has received a total of six Brit Award nominations, including one for Best New Artist and four for British Female Solo Artist. Since 2017, the English singer has also hosted a food podcast titled “Table Manners”, alongside her mother, Lennie Ware.
In 2023, Ware returned with a new album, “That! Feels Good!“, staying the course on the dance path and cementing her status as a dancefloor diva.
Three years later, “Superbloom” turns back the clock a decade, landing in the years where it all began, in those blazing Seventies when Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor and the Sister Sledge were taking both sides of the Atlantic by storm. Yet in this glittering garden of delights, one savors delicacies plucked from altogether different trees. Blossoming, trees, plants and abundance: it's impossible not to drift toward other oases, toward that “Come To My Garden” which made Minnie Riperton and her voice legendary. It is from here that Ware set out above all to craft the songs depicting her earthly paradise, with the soft, lush soul orchestrations wrapped like a glove around the Chicago singer's throat.
