Jennifer Lopez, aka J.Lo, is a popstar known in particular for her influence on the 2000s Latin dance music boom. Born on July 24, 1969 in New York, she was a successful TV and film actress, famous above all for playing Selena Quintanilla-Pérez in the 1997 biopic "Selena" before breaking into the music industry in 1999 with her debut album "On The 6", whose lead single, "If You Had My Love", topped the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks and earned Lopez her first Grammy nomination.
Continuing her film career with romantic comedies such as "The Wedding Planner" and "Monster-In-Law", she established herself as a singer, dancer and multi-talented artist with hits like "Jenny From The Block" and "I'm Gonna Be Alright" feat. Nas. Her 2001 collaborations with Ja Rule, "I'm Real" and "Ain't It Funny", both hit number one on the Hot 100, as did her 2002 duet with LL Cool J, "All I Have".
J.Lo's music career then enjoyed a resurgence in 2011 thanks to her collaboration with Pitbull on "On The Floor", followed in 2012 by "Dance Again", and her team-up with Iggy Azalea on "Booty" (2014).
On September 24, 2020 she released the singles "Pa' Ti" and "Lonely", both in collaboration with Maluma. On November 27, 2020 she released the single "In the Morning", which caused a stir thanks to its cover, on which the American artist appears nude. In January 2021, J.Lo performed at the inauguration ceremony of the 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden.
In 2024, Jennifer Lopez released her ninth album "This Is Me... Now", a follow-up to her 2002 record "This Is Me... Then", heavily inspired by her intense love story with Ben Affleck. A diary considered her most personal project to date, portraying the twenty years of her life since its predecessor.
