Il Pagante was formed in Milan in 2010 as a satirical Facebook page before evolving into a musical project with a parodic bent. The original trio was made up of Eddy Veerus, Brancar and Federica Napoli (who left in 2022, a sign of the project's ongoing crisis). The group pokes fun at the stereotypes of "Milano da bere" and the milanese imbruttito (the boorish, flashy Milanese type), poking fun at clubs peddling cut-price hedonism, fleeting trends and nightlife full of tics and clichés, all wrapped in a style that blends pop, EDM and hip-house. After early viral hits like “Entro in pass” and “Pettinero”, they released the albums “Entro in pass” (2016), “Paninaro 2.0” (2018), “Devastating” (2022) and “FOMO” (2025). Their slang-heavy, parodic language has left its mark on Italian youth pop culture.
