HMLTD

HMLTD are a London art-punk band formed in 2015 and fronted by Henry Spychalski.

Initially known as "Happy Meal Ltd.", from their very formation the group has adopted an iconography drawing on the glam-rock era, through which they champion causes tied to the queer and gender-bender world.

These very aesthetic choices, however, have cost the band several accusations of improper appropriation.

After a series of singles released between 2016 and 2017, in 2018 the group gave birth to the intriguing EP "Hate Music Last Time Delete", on which they already combine glam attitude with Wave and Post-Punk leanings infused with electronics bordering on EDM, without neglecting a taste for experimental pop.

These artistic ideas would come together more fully on their debut full-length, "West of Eden", released in 2020 on Lucky Number Music.

In 2021 the group took on a vast multimedia project, later collected in the EP "Don't Leave Me".

But it's in April 2023 that the London band followed up their excellent debut album with an equally successful sequel.

"The Worm" is a concept album that traces a dystopian vision of today's England, devoured by an all-consuming worm of hatred, envy and selfishness.
