Giorgia

Giorgia Todrani, known to everyone simply as Giorgia, is one of the most celebrated and beloved voices in Italian pop music of the last three decades. Born in Rome on April 26, 1971, she made her debut in the early '90s, standing out for her vocal talent and her ability to range across musical genres, from pop to soul to jazz. In total, she has taken part in the Sanremo Music Festival five times, placing first, third and second in the Big category.

Her self-titled debut album "Giorgia" (1994) contains one of her biggest hits, "E poi", which quickly became a classic in her catalogue and immediately opened the doors to success. In 1995 she won the Sanremo Music Festival with "Come saprei", a poignant ballad that showcased her interpretive skills and also earned her the Critics' Award.

Among her most significant works are "Come Thelma & Louise" (1995), which cemented her success with tracks like "Strano il mio destino", and "Mangio troppa cioccolata" (1997), produced by Pino Daniele, where she explores more funk and jazz sounds.

In the 2000s Giorgia kept reinventing herself with albums such as "Ladra di vento" (2003), which includes the hit "Gocce di memoria", written for Ferzan Özpetek's film "La finestra di fronte", and "Dietro le apparenze" (2011), which sees her collaborating with artists like Jovanotti and Eros Ramazzotti. This record also includes other successful tracks such as "Il mio giorno migliore" and "Tu mi porti su".

In 2015 she received a platinum certification for her 2002 "Greatest Hits", which has sold over a million copies in total. The following year she released her tenth studio album, "Oronero", driven by the title track single. In January 2018 the album "Oronero live" came out, featuring live tracks including two previously unreleased songs. The following November she released "Pop Heart", her first covers album. In February 2023 the album Blu was released, containing the track "Parole dette male", with which she took part in the Sanremo Music Festival for the fifth time, finishing in sixth place.

In 2023 she made her acting debut in the film "Scordato", directed by Rocco Papaleo, earning a Nastri d'Argento nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy Film and a Ciak d'Oro nomination for Best Newcomer of the Year, as well as a nomination for Best Original Song with the soundtrack track "Tu sei una parte di me".

Invited by Amadeus to co-host the 2024 Sanremo Music Festival, that same year Giorgia was also hired to front the country's most famous talent show, "X-Factor".

In 2025 she once again took part as a contestant in the Sanremo Music Festival with "La cura per me". That track also features on the Roman singer's next album, simply titled "G" and released on November 7, 2025 by Epic.
