Away from Hold Steady, the indie-rock band acclaimed more in America than in Europe, Craig Finn has over the years released important solo chapters between New York and Minneapolis – Clear Heart Full Eyes is the first, from 2012 – where he gives free rein to his clear, engaging narrative verve, moving between spoken mini-novels and more sung passages. In 2022 came his latest, "A Legacy of Rentals".
