Formed in Pittsburgh in 2008 as a hardcore-punk band under the name Code Orange Kids, they gradually shifted toward metalcore. While "I Am King" (2014) blurs the lines between post-grunge, metalcore and hardcore-punk, "Forever" (2017) sees the band reach full maturity, injecting noise and industrial elements and crystallizing the mix into chameleonic, schizophrenic tracks that don't shy away from clear post-grunge nods. They have since drifted toward a nostalgic reinterpretation of alt-metal, first with "Underneath" (2020) and then with the self-released "The Above" (2023).
