Cate Le Bon, pseudonym of Cate Timothy (Carmarthenshire, March 4, 1983), is a Welsh singer-songwriter. She began to gain a certain notoriety on the underground scene after supporting Gruff Rhys on his 2007 UK tour. She released her debut studio album “Me Oh My” in 2009, followed three years later by “Cyrk“.
In 2013 she moved to Los Angeles to focus more on her career in the United States and released the album “Mug Museum“. Her fourth studio effort, titled “Crab Day“, came out in 2016 and was supported by a national tour. In 2019 she released “Reward“, with which Le Bon won over the specialist press and reached 86th place in the UK charts. She was also nominated for the Mercury Prize.
In 2022 she released the new album “Pompeii“, followed three years later by “Michelangelo Dying“.
