Blood Incantation

From Denver, Colorado, come Blood Incantation, featuring guitarist/vocalist Paul Riedl, drummer Isaac Faulk, guitarist Morris Kolontyrsky and bassist Jeff Barrett. They debut in 2016 with “Starspawn”, steeped in cosmic horror and old-school death metal, with hallucinatory touches. Their ambition grows considerably with the second album “Hidden History Of The Human Race” (2019), which marks a break from the rest of the revival underway at the end of the decade, thanks to highly technical compositions and adventurous song structures, laced with mysticism and psychedelia. Over the course of just two albums, the band earns the attention of critics usually reluctant to pay much notice to bands from these musical shores. In 2022 they release “Timewave Zero”, two lengthy, fully instrumental tracks in the vein of the space ambient of decades earlier. They then release the colossal “Absolute Elsewhere” (2024) and the soundtrack “All Gates Open” (2026).
