Behemoth

One of the most discussed and controversial figures on the metal scene, and beyond, Nergal (aka Adam Michał Darski) has been driving his ferocious beast Behemoth since 1991. After decades of furious death/black metal, 2014 brought a turning point with “The Satanist”, where brutality made way for unprecedented openness and a more polished production, sparking debate between critics and fans. With 2022's “Opvs Contra Natvram” and its predecessor “I Loved You At Your Darkest” (2018), the Polish trio carries on in the wake of “The Satanist”, much to the dismay of haters and the delight of new fans alike.
