Anna

Anna Pepe, from La Spezia and known simply as Anna, is a representative example of the current state of chart-topping Italian pop. She found fame in 2019 with the single “Bando”, positioning herself as Italy's answer to Nicki Minaj (or Cardi B). Between February and March 2020 she topped the FIMI Top Singoli chart, becoming the youngest artist ever to debut at number one. She features as a guest for other rappers, but her subsequent singles fail to replicate the success of “Bando”. In 2022 comes “Lista 47”, a collection of seven songs in Ep form. The triple platinum certifications of “Cookies n' Cream” and “Vetri neri” secure her a new place in the mainstream in 2023. In 2024 her debut album arrives, “A true baddie”, driven by the summer single “30° C”, which over time earns five platinum records. In 2026 she returns with “Million Dollar Babe”.
