Ai!

“Ai!” was born in the spring of 2020 from the meeting of Gabriele Ciampichetti and Stefano Orzes, (The Crazy Crazy World Of Mr. Rubik, Eveline).

From the outset, their musical approach set out to explore rarefied sounds, cultivating a nocturnal character and moving within a sonic spectrum running from desert rock to jazz, contaminated in some tracks by the 1970s singer-songwriter tradition, including its American strain.

Built around improvisation, they start from bass loops over which guitar and drums improvise, crumbling down to minimalism, backed by the versatile voice of Luca Fattori.

In March 2021, between the Locomotiv Club in Bologna and the Mountain Goat Studio in Sasso Marconi, they recorded their debut album “Manuale Illusione”, released in March 2023. An eight-track concept album preceded by the single “Blu” and the title track “Manuale Illusione”.
