Hollis Parker Frazier-Herndon was born on January 5, 2004 in Chicago, the son of musician John Herndon (also known under the alias A Grape Dope), drummer of the band Tortoise, and of Kathryn Frazier, founder of the PR agency Biz 3 and co-founder of the record label Owsla. At the age of ten, his family moved to Los Angeles, and during his high school years Hollis began producing (and studying) music under the stage name Drippysoup. In 2020 he changed his name to 2hollis and briefly relocated to Washington.
After a fascination with medieval fantasy, musically channeled through the band Open Swords of Ten, devoted to so-called "medieval trap", 2hollis first drew attention with the release of his self-produced debut album "White Tiger" (August 2022), and even more so when his song "Poster Boy" was featured on the soundtrack of the video game EA Sports FC 24, effectively becoming the American producer and rapper's first hit. Further popularity came with the singles "Crush" and "Jeans" and with the two albums "2" (May 2023) and "Boy" (June 2024), interspersed with a steady stream of EPs and mixtapes. After signing a deal with Interscope, in April 2025 2hollis released his fourth solo album, "Star", which cemented his international breakthrough, making him a fixture at major international music festivals and earning him sold-out show after sold-out show across the globe.
